BC DEVELOPMENT

MAINTENANCE OF GOVT. BC PRE- MATRIC HOSTELS:

There are (23) BC. Pre-matric Hostels functioning in Khammam District. Out of which (18) Hostels for Boys and (05) Hostels for Girls are functioning With a sanctioned strength of (2720) for every year. The ratio of admissions in to Govt BC Hostels is BC-75%, SC- 15%, ST-5% &Others-5% Total 100%. Diet(Mess) charges are sanctioning to the hostel boarders for 3rd to 7th class @ Rs.950/- and 8th to 10th class @ Rs.1100/- per month. Cosmetic charges are sanctioning to the Boys @ Rs.50/- and hair cutting charges @ Rs.12/- per month and Cosmetic charges forGirls @ Rs.75/- per month.Bed Sheets, Carpets, Note Books, Games materials, (04) pairs of dresses and Trunk Boxes are being supplied to the boarders on free of cost as per life period fixed to the material.Study materials like Patashala&Maabadi have been distributed to the Hostel boarders on free of cost for 5th Class, 7th Class & 10th Class boarders.Tutors have been appointed for imparting special coaching to 10th Class boarders in (04) Subjects i.e., Maths, English, Science and Hindi subjects with honorarium of Rs.1500/- per month.

MAINTENANCE OF GOVT. BC COLLEGE HOSTELS:

There are (10) BC. College Boys and Girls Hostels functioning in Khammam District. Out of which (5) Hostels for Boys and (05) Hostels for Girls. With a sanctioned strength of (1000) of every academic year. Diet charges are sanctioning to the hostel boarders @Rs. 1500/- per month. The ratio of admissions in to Govt BC Hostels is BC-75%, SC-15%, ST-5% &Others-5% Total 100%.

SANCTION OF POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIPS AND RTF:

The BC Development Department has sanctioning the Post-matric Scholarships and Reimbursement of Tuition Fee to the BC and EBC Students from Intermediate to P.G. through online system. Web site: https://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in.

1) Post Matric Scholarships (MTF):

During the year 2020-2021, the Commissioner of BC. Welfare, T. S. Hyderabad has released an amount of Rs.13,71,84,000-00 (Rupees Thirteen Crores Seventy-One Lakhs and Eighty Four Thousand only) towards sanction of Post-metric Scholarships to (12,586) BC. Students, out of which Rs.12,50,48,806-00 has been spent.

2) Reimbursement of Tuition Fee to B.C Students (RTF):

During the year 2020-2021, the Commissioner of BC. Welfare, T.S., Hyderabad has released an amount of Rs.28,19,84,000-00 (Rupees Twenty Eight Crores Nineteen Lakhs and Eighty Four Thousand only) towards sanction of Reimbursement of tuition fees to (10,354) BC. Students, out of which the amount of Rs.28,19,56,545-00 has been spent.

3) Reimbursement of Tuition Fee to E. B.C Students (RTF):

During the year 2020-2021, the Commissioner of BC. Welfare, T.S., Hyderabad has released an amount of Rs.5,81,94,000-00 (Rupees Five Crores Eighty-One Lakhs and Ninety-Four only) towards sanction of Reimbursement of tuition fees to (3125) EBC. Students, out of which the amount of Rs.5,59,96,620-00 has been spent.

STIPEND TO BC ADVOCATES:

Under this scheme (04) Law BC Graduates students are being selected by the Committee every year and allotted to the Government Pleader/Public Prosecutor for undergoing training in Administration of Justice for a period of (36) months. Purchase of Books & Furniture @Rs.3,000/- to each, Enrollment Fee @Rs.585/- to each & Stipend @Rs.1,000/- to each.

INCENTIVE CASH AWARD TO THE INTER CASTE MARRIED COUPLES:

The BC Development Department has sanctioning the Incentive Cash award @Rs.10,000/- to the Incentive married couples to the eligible for BC to BC & BC to OC married couples duly verifying the candidate as per guidelines communicated.

KALYANA LAKSHMI:

The scheme of Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam to the BC & EBC Communities @Rs.1,00,116/- is implementing by the BC Development Department through the Revenue Divisional Officers concerned as per G.O.Ms.No.04, Backward Class Welfare (B) Department, Dated:29.06.2019.For applying in online Web Site address: https://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in.

OVERSEAS SCHOLARSHIPS:

The scheme of sanctioning Overseas scholarships @Rs.20.00 Lakhs for a student who is studying abroad i.e, is implementing by the BC Development Department from the Office of the Commissioner of BC Welfare, T.S., Hyderabad. As per G.O.Ms.No:66, SCD Department, Dated:09.11.2017 & G.O.Ms.No:22, BCW(B) Department, Dated:22.11.2017. There is two spring sessions every year for applying of Overseas Scholarships i.e., January/February & August/September for BC & EBC students. Income limit is Rs.5.00 Lakhs below. BC CORPORATION:

BC Corporation is working for the Socio-Economic Development of Backward Classes (B.P.L.) Families through implementing several self employment scheme i.e., Economic support schemes (ESS) for Un-Employed youth and Skill Development Schemes for Artisans and Vocational Occupation Caste Communities. 100% Subsidy was released by the Government for the year 2017-18 for (3446) beneficiaries were benefitted of Rs 17.23 crores through individual cheques @Rs.50,000/- each beneficiary.

  • The Subsidy pattern and schemes are as follows for the year 2017-18
  • Unit Cost below Rs.0.50 Lakhs 100% (Subsidy)
  • Unit Cost below Rs.1.00 Lakhs 80% (Subsidy)
  • Unit Cost below Rs.1.01 Lakhs to Rs.2.00 Lakhs 70% (Subsidy)
  • Unit Cost below Rs.2.01 Lakhs to Rs.12.00 Lakhs 60% (Subsidy) (limited to Rs.5.00 Lakhs)

1. Margin Money Subsidy Scheme (only for Mandals):

Margin Money Subsidy Scheme, the BC People who are residing in rural areas (other than Municipal areas) will be provided financial assistance to Eligible Individual Beneficiaries.

2. Savithri Bhai Pule Abhyudaya Yojana Subsidy Scheme (only for Municipalities):

Savithri Bhai Pule Abhyudaya Yojana Subsidy Scheme (SPAY), the BC People who are residing in Municipal areas will be provided financial assistance with the consent of any Nationalized Bank. Funding pattern is as follows.

3. Most Backward Classes Development Corporation Subsidy Scheme:

Most Backward Classes Development Corporation Subsidy Scheme, the MBC people who are residing in rural areas/Municipal areas will be provided financial assistance to Eligible Individual Beneficiaries. Funding pattern is as follows.

4. Primary Cooperative Societies:

The Telangana Government has introduced scheme for the sanction of financial assistance to the following (11) Primary Cooperative Societies, Each Society generally contains 11 to 15 members.

5. Construction of Dhobhighats:

The Government of Telangana is constructing Dhobhighats in rural and urban areas with the cost of Rs.5.60 Lakhs.

6. Free Electricity Scheme to Rajaka & Nayee Brahmins:

Telangana Government have issued orders vide GO No 02, Dt. 04-04-2021 for providing free electricity of 250 units to Rajaka families for maintenance of Laundry units and Dobhighats and Nayeebrahmin families for maintenance of Saloons.
