AGRI MARKETING
The Departmental of Agril. Marketing was established with an objective to regulate, control and supervise the marketing network of sale, purchase, storage of Agril. Produce, notified in Schedule – II of Telangana (Agril. Produce and Live stock) Markets Act, 1966.
At present the state serviced by Network of 189 Market Committees in the state. Apart from the Principle Market Yards, there are 94 Sub Yards and these AMCs are classified in terms of Market Fee Collected.

Objective:-
The Telangana State Agriculture Produce is being regulated under the Telangana State (Agricultural produce and Live stock) Markets Act, 1966 – the preamble of the Act is an act to consolidate and amend the law relating to the regulation of purchase and sale of Agricultural produce, Live stock and products of the live stock and the establishment of Markets in connection therewith.
The Main (Primary) objective of the department and AMCs are to establish modern Markets for efficient Marketing of agricultural products by providing modern facilities in the markets and to enforce the Act, Rules, Bye-laws framed there under.

E-NAM:-
- The e-NAM project is implementing in AMC, Khammam from 01.10.2016 and continuing the same till today. Cotton, Maize, Greengram, and Blackgram are the major commodities trading in e-Nam.
SCHEMES
RYTHU BANDU PATHAKAM:
In order to prevent distress sale of Agril. Produce by the farmers in the state. The Government had formulated a scheme for providing short term advances to farmers. This scheme is called Rythu Bandhu Pathakam.
The main objective of Ryhthu Bandhu Pathakam is to make available the advance to the needy farmers against pledge of stock so as to prevent them from resorting to distress sale of their produce particularly during glut and giving them temporary financial support interms of need. The scheme is being implemented by all the AMCs in the State.
After bifurcation, the Telangana Government has enhanced Loan Amount from Rs. 1,00,000/- to Rs. 2,00,000/- under Rythu Bandu Pathakam (Pledge loan scheme to prevent farmers from distress sales) without interest up to 180 days.

Farmers Insurance Scheme:-
This scheme provides insurance to the Farmers, Licensed Hamalies, Weighmen and Cartmen connected with the functioning of the Market Yard. In case of accidental death during the Market Yard operations Rs. 1.00 Lakh, in case of permanent disability such as loss of limbs and eyes Rs. 0.75 Lakhs & Partial disability such as loss of one limb and one eye Rs. 0.25 Lakhs.
PRADHAN MANTRI SURAKSHA BHIMA YOJANA (PMSBY) –
Accidental Death Insurance.
This scheme is implemented by the Department of Agril. Marketing to the Market functionaries of Agril. Market Committees in the state.
Salient features of the Scheme are as under:-
Eligibility:- All savings bank account holders in the age group of 18 years (completed) to 70 years (age nearer birthday) with Aadhaar number linked to that account can give a simple consent form to the bank every year before 1st of June in order to join the scheme. In case of multiple saving bank accounts held by an individual in one or different banks, the persons would be eligible to join the scheme through any one savings bank account only. Name of the nominee to be given in the form.
Premium:- Rs. 12/- per annum (Plus service tax as applicable).
Payment:- The Premium will directly be auto-debited by the bank from the subscribers account. This is the only mode available.
Risk Coverage:- a) For accidental death and total disablement – Rs. 2.00 Lakhs : Total irrecoverable loss of both eyes or loss of use of both hands or feet or loss of sight of one eye and loss of use of hand or foot.
- b) For partial disablement – Rs. 1.00 Lakhs : Total and irrecoverable loss of sight of one eye or loss of use of one hand or foot
Term of Risk:- A person has to opt for the scheme every year. He can also prefer to give a long term option of continuing in which case his account will be auto debited every year by the bank.
The Customers can link their existing Savings Bank Account with AADHAR before opting PMSBY scheme. New customers are also eligible to join the scheme by seeding their AADHAR number to Savings Bank account. However KYC/Due Diligence have to be followed.
