ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

District Industries Centres (DICs) have emerged since 1978 as the nodal agency for development of small and village industries. It provides all the support services needed for development ofMSME and Large Industries in the District.In each district there will be one agency to deal with all the requirements of small and village industries. Under the single roof of DIC, all the services and support required by small and village entrepreneurs will be provided. These will include economic investigation of the district raw materials and other resources, supply of machinery and equipment, provision of raw materials, arrangement for credit facilities, an effective step for marketing and a cell for quality control, research and extension.The District Industries Centers can play an effective role with regard to interlink ages with different institutions such as electricity department, water works, Municipality/Grampanchayat, Town Planning, Commercial Banks, etc., The District Industries Centers should function in a close coordination with all agencies related to industrial development at the district level. To ensure this, there should be a single line of command operating from the District Industries Centre for the entire field staff connected with industrial promotion activities.After bifurcation of districts in Telangana State, Khammam District is having 2 Revenue Divisions and 21 Mandals. The geographical area of the District is 4,361 Square Kilometers and the total population of the district is 14,01,639 as per 2011 Census.

In Khammam District more than 800 Granite Processing Industries including Export units  are working. 400 Modern and Huller type Rice Mills including 8 Para Boiled Rice Mills  with the milling capacity of 1.76 lakhs  Tons per season are working well.

Further in Khammam District 42 Cold Storages are operating with 42 Lakh bags storage capacity and 12 Modern Cotton Ginning Units and 8 units processing 60 Thousand Liters of Milk per Day.  20 Stone Crushers are working.  In addition to (2) major Sugar crushing units with captive power plants  and 1 Essence and Resinoid from chilies with 100% FDI and 100% Export oriented are working in the District.

T-PRIDE INCENTIVES Scheme 2014 (SC/ST/PHC Category):

• Investment Subsidy : 35% limited to Rs.75.00 Lakhs on fixed capital.
• Women : 10% Additional Investment Subsidy up to Rs.10.00 Lakhs on fixed capital.
• Stamp duty & transfer duty reimbursement
• Power Cost Reimbursement @Rs.1.50 per unit, Pavala vaddi Reimbursement @ 9% p.a. and SGST Reimbursement for 5 years.

T-IDEA INCENTIVES Scheme 2014 (General Category):

SALIENT FEATURES OF Telangana State Industrial Development and Entrepreneur Advancement Incentives Scheme 2014

1. Investment Subsidy : 15% limited to Rs.20.00 Lakhs on fixed capital.

1. Women : 10% Additional Investment Subsidy up to Rs.10.00 Lakhs on fixed capital.

3. Power Cost Reimbursement @Rs.1.00 per unit, Pavala vaddi Reimbursement @ 9% p.a. and SGST Reimbursement for 5 years.

In addition to regular demand based industries, some of the suggestive industries having good potential are submitted hereunder for kind perusal.

1. Raw Rice Mill with 4 Ton/Hr capacity and Para Boiled Rice Mill with 50 Tons to 100 Tons working capacity.
2. Palm Oil crushing unit with 600 Tons/day and Palm Oil Refinery with 200 Tons/day.
3. Maize Seed Processing units with 3000 Tons of Seed per season (Drying unit).
4. Cold Storages with 6000 Tons storage capacity.
5. Fruit Ripening unit >50 Tons storage capacity.
6. Jute Bags making from bales.
7. Robo sand and Stone Crushers with 200 Tons/hour capacity.
8. Chilly automatic Stem cutting units for Exporting.
